Purpose of Meeting
This session focuses on Accessing Behavioral Health Care: Providers, Pathways, and Partnerships, bringing together behavioral health providers, healthcare systems, and community partners to explore how individuals access care and move through the behavioral health system in Yellowstone County.
Panelists will provide an overview of the services they offer, the populations they serve, and how referrals and intake processes work across organizations. The discussion will highlight how individuals are connected to care, what pathways exist for accessing services, and how providers coordinate to support individuals with mental health and substance use needs.
The conversation will also explore common barriers to accessing care, including system navigation challenges, capacity limitations, and service gaps, as well as opportunities to strengthen coordination and improve outcomes. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of available behavioral health services, how to access them, and how providers and systems work together to deliver coordinated, person-centered care.
The Public Safety & Community Resource Series is a monthly educational forum designed to increase transparency, understanding, and collaboration around public safety and community-based resources in Yellowstone County. Hosted at the Billings Public Library, the series brings together city and county partners, service providers, and the community to share how systems work, how they connect, and how they collectively contribute to a safer, healthier community.
Each session focuses on a specific topic and highlights real-world coordination between public safety, outreach, and resource systems, creating a space for informed dialogue, relationship-building, and community education.
