February 21st is the first day of the 2026 Spin Together competition, an annual competition where teams of handspinners compete against other teams to transform fiber into as much yarn as they can in a week!

Reading aloud helps your beginning reader expand their vocabulary and improve reading comprehension. Learning to read can be scary; a friendly face, particularly one with a soothing purr, can ease reading anxieties and build confidence.

Family Reading runs through February 28th and encourages families to develop the habit of reading aloud together.  Studies have shown that children who are read aloud to have improved language skills and are more successful in school.&n
