BPL is teaming up with Yellowstone County MSU Extension Family & Consumer Sciences Program for a fun, family program that mixes kitchen science, food preservation, and a little spark of entrepreneurship.
Families help turn fresh strawberries, sugar, and pectin into warm jam in a countertop jam maker, then get to taste your results. While the jam cooks, we’ll read Jam and Jelly by Holly and Nelly, a story that sparks conversation about creativity, problem-solving, and turning homemade products into small business ideas. It’s hands-on, STEM-rich, and literacy-friendly!
