Young people will have the opportunity to learn about financial topics - like earning, saving, spending, sharing and budgeting - in a way that is both meaningful and fun through a series of Thinking Money programs.
In this month's program, Currency Conga, children, ages 5-8, will focus on currency recognition, through hands-on games and activities. Registration is required. Billings Public Library was selected to receive a Thinking Money for Kids Program Kid from the American Library Association (ALA) and FINRA Investor Education Foundation. The Program Kit is a collection of expertly vetted resources to help libraries teach financial education concepts for children ages 3-12, both in the library and in children's homes.
Currency Conga is the first in a series of programs utilizes the Program Kit. Thinking Money for Kids is an initiative of the American Library Association and the FINRA Investor Education Foundation.
