Join The Billings Public Library Film Society in celebrating Pride Month with a screening of the the 2000 Biography/Drama, Before Night Falls. Based on Reinaldo Arenas autobiography of the same name, the film documents the life of the Cuban Poet in the later half of the 20th century. During the tense political atmosphere in Cuba, Arenas explores his ambitions and sexuality. Quoted as "The Best Film of 2000" by the LA Times, Before Night Falls received various including a nomination for an Academy Award, the National Board of Review's Freedom of Expression Award and the Political Film Society's Exposé Award.
