Story Trail Ribbon-Cutting

Billings Public Library is excited to debut our newest Story Trail. Through the generosity of the Billings Public Library Foundation and the City of Billings, the second Story Trail will be at Castlerock Park (W. Wicks Ln & Nutter Blvd).

The Story Trail is a wonderful way for adults and their young children or grandchildren to combine literacy skills and healthy exercise as they walk to each of the 20 reading stations while enjoying beautiful scenery year-round. Laminated pages from storybooks are attached to metal posts, which are installed around the park path. As visitors stroll the path, they are directed to the next page of the story. Some posts will include activities to engage participants with their natural surroundings.

To celebrate the grand opening of the new Story Trail, the library will host a ribbon cutting on Saturday, September 28th at 11am. The celebration will include treats and special craft based on the story featured on the trail.   Bring your walking shoes, your reading glasses, and enjoy a story!
